Inform supervisor/team lead, develop messaging for clients, work with supervisor to solve technical issue (reboot, check hardware, call developers/network admin, new parts). When system returns verify operability, liaise with clients to follow-up, apologize and inform them of your lessons learned policy. Internally, investigate the source of the breakdown, build adequate risk minimization into business plan.
