What would you do to develop individuals on your team?

I will talk to my shift personnel one on one. I will find the best way for us as a team to improve our jobs, both in production and in employee engagement. While the workplace is not a optimal place to do team building, it is the best place to start. Individual motivations are as unique as personalities, they have to be observed and nurtured. As a Navy and Commercial Nuclear Power Trainer, the pre-watch briefing was a two-way communication. Concerns were expressed and expectations were set forth. The ambiguity of the new task was removed. I must keep learning how to give guidance while accepting honest unreserved feedback.
