I was first contacted by a recruiter, who I spoke with briefly. A few days later, I was contacted by the team manager to schedule a phone interview. That interview was fairly basic, mainly talking about the position as opposed to myself. I was then invited in for an in person interview about a week later. I met with 4 separate team members individually and they asked me questions about my background and experience. There weren't any technical questions. This took about 2 hours. About a week later, I was sent an assignment to complete and send back a few days later. This assignment was technical and a preview of what the position would be like.
Overall, the process was very positive. All of the team members were very friendly and accommodating. I had been interviewing with a few companies at the same time, and Yahoo! was definitely the least stressful. It took a while to find out whether I got the job, but not too long.
