I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Yale University (New Haven, CT) in Dec 2014
Interview
Interview process was decent, with many relevant questions asked, and responses given when you questioned in return. Depending on interview, you may or may not interview with the Principal Investigator, which I found slightly insulting as they are the one hiring, not their staff.
They ask you about why specific research lab, what can you bring to Yale and what can the lab bring to you, and they ask questions about your previous research papers.

Interview
I did not have to interview for this position. I was hired for this role because I was asked to do it for a professor whose class I took in the year prior to the job offer.
I applied online. I interviewed at Yale University
Interview
Direct interview with professors. They asked me about my background, previous research experience, programming skills, grades and the content of some advanced graduate courses, and the familiarity with topics they were working on. Because my research experience is not very matched with their fields, I was asked to complete another technical exercise in the following days.
