Spoke with a recruiter who had great energy and really hyped up the company. Moved onto a zoom call with a hiring manager. I immediately recognized the fact this was going to be a tough interview, and it was.

Question 1
The hiring manager asked me about a very specific problem that her team was facing and wanted to know how I would handle it. She didn't provide context which made it very difficult to answer her question and provide a solution. This topic/qualification was not mentioned in the job description and caught me off guard.

Phone screen with hiring manager, loop with 4 team members. Interviewers gave conflicting ideas on whether the role was primarily strategic in nature or heavily focused on execution. Recommend clarifying the nature of the role before answering "tell me about a time" questions.
