Employee Relations Interview Questions
"Organizations in need of employee relations professionals are seeking individuals with strong communication skills, a calm temperament, and a history of success in solving internal issues. During the interview process, expect to be asked about your history of problem solving and how you might handle some hypothetical conflicts between employers, supervisors, customers etc... A college degree and previous related experience are highly valued."

In the phone screen, I was asked technical questions about various roles I've held that were listed on my resume; technical questions about handling investigations and managing workplace conflict; and general questions about my thoughts on the work environment. During the interviews with the hiring managers and the panel, I was asked more in-depth questions about my employee relations (ER) experience. During the panels, I had four one-on-one interviews, and these were competency-based. Questions were behavioral and focused around Nike's leadership principles. Each interviewer spent time building rapport with me before or in-between questions, which helped me relax and feel comfortable.
