Interview
Average interview with standard questions, but interviewer was rude about demanding a specific number from me about expected salary (vs a range) and rude in responding to my questions about the job ("what do you mean embedded in the product development team? you are a researcher, you will be working on usability tests!"). Memo to Icims: most successful IT companies and SaaS companies have UX Researchers into their product development teams, working sometimes independently and sometimes as a team member, no research is done separately from product development. But I guess the bad quality of Icims sofware attests to their notion of separating research from design/development. Even so, rude interviewers can only build a bad image for the company.

Question 1
Why are you interested at icims? What is your salary right now? (wouldn't accept a no-answer as I was unwilling to share my exact salary number) What salary do you expect? I replied "i'm flexible, in the range of 70-80, 000"), her response: "that a huge range, what do you really expect to make in the near future by joining Icims"?.
