Call with Tech Recruiter and Engineering Manager was very good and fair in my opinion. Unfortunately did not go beyond round with Engineering Manager Usual questions on Professional Android experience, Usual way of working with teams, Knowledge of Jetpack Compose, Unit testing, CI/CD I was rejected because i did not have much "Deeper" CI/CD experience Though its mentioned in job description that having CI/CD knowledge is a plus Given this, it feels somewhat contradictory to have my application decision influenced heavily by a perceived gap in deeper CI/CD knowledge even though i tick all the boxes and important ones such as building the Android App using Jetpack Compose extensively. I believe it would help to streamline a clear decision-making process so that interviewers focus on the essential requirements versus desirable skills. This way, candidates and interviewers can be more aligned in expectations.
