No unexpected questions. The most difficult was a pseudo code question but it wasn't too hard.
Started with abstraction and encapsulation, collections, synchronization, serialization, threads, spring concepts, hibernate, etc
1) what is perm Gen in JVM? 2) How can you increase performance of an application using parameters in JVm? 3) How will you define an Exception which can give a common exception for different layers of application with proper message saying that this layer is causing some issue. 4) We have 3 threads and all these threads accessing a file ,in that file we need to find shahrukh occurence for different range like a)how many times shahrukh comes in first 5000 lines? b) how many times shahrukh comes in first 3000 lines ? c) how many times shahrukh comes in first 2000 lines ? 5)If we have an application and we need to maintain the performance for increasing user (earlier user was 5000 now usera are 50000) wat are the step you will take to improve performnace.
The final round started with resume walkthrough and proceeded with technical question pertaining to the position. In my case it was on Microsoft Business Intelligence (SSIS, SSAS and SSRS)
There were no difficult questions, mostly just questions about why I felt that I would be good in the role, how I relate with people and my technical background history. The most suprising question was "tell me about why I should hire you, and you only have 1 story on an elevator ride to do so" ...took me off gaurd
