I was asked if I would be able to manage the restaurant since they needed someone there at 6am and they had 24 hour room service and needed to be staffed in the restaurant for that. I was applying for a special events manager, but I was willing to work in the restaurant if needed .

My current position/company is very complex and we do a lot of work. Each person wears several hats I don't think I did a good job of expressing the direct role I play. They asked me the same question several times in different ways so that should have been an indicator to me I wasn't being clear.
What would you do if two parties showed up at the same time, both convinced that they had reserved the Special Event Venue (SEV) for that particular day?
