This job description identifies areas of accountability. This is not an all-inclusive list of duties. These are primary responsibilities.
Duties
- Lead the planning, execution, and closing of projects using methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, risk assessments, and cost estimates using tools like MS Project, Primavera P6, or Smartsheet.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables clearly and accurately.
- Manage project portfolios by prioritizing initiatives, balancing resource constraints, and aligning projects with strategic business objectives through effective program management practices.
- Conduct root cause analysis and apply Lean Six Sigma principles to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements such as Kaizen or Business Process Modeling.
- Oversee vendor management and contract negotiations to ensure quality deliverables while controlling costs.
- Lead cross-functional teams by providing clear direction, fostering collaboration, managing conflicts with negotiation skills, and ensuring team engagement through effective communication.
Qualification Requirements
- BA in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in restoration and/or managing of native plant communities.
- Valid MN Driver’s License
- Ability to operate tractors and implements
- Ability to operate UTV's and water pumps
- Ability to drive trucks pulling trailers
- Ability to be insured to drive company vehicle by PRI insurance company
- Ability to obtain MN DOT Health Card
- Ability to obtain MN Dept. of Ag Pesticide Applicator License
- Proficient in use and operation of large and small power equipment.
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for overall coordination of prairie and native plant site management, productivity, efficiency, completion of tasks and customer satisfaction. Additionally, is responsible for assistance with bidding, allocation of materials and equipment for site management projects. The Project Manager will provide crew supervision and on-site training and mentoring.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinating and Managing Land Management Projects
- Scheduling management project tasks in coordination with the Assistant Site Manager.
- Communication with customers about project schedule and any changes to project content or process including change orders or contract total changes.
- Awareness of project budget and project progress
- Completion of both PRI work records, and any other client required documents
- Communicate with Assistant Site Manager and Admin Assistant as project tasks are completed and ready to be billed.
- Maintain work records in an accurate, and timely manner.
Project Materials Allocation
- Communicate with Assistant Site Manager all materials needed (both PRI and external materials) for assigned projects
- Inspect quantity, quality and specifications of acquired materials before use on assigned projects.
Completion of project tasks
- Complete project tasks on schedule and within budget
- Responsible for quality of completed project tasks
Crew Supervision and On-Site Training and Mentoring
- Oversee and coordinate team member task assignment and completion
- Communicate with team members overall project goals and how specific tasks fit in to the overall process
- Implement and document on-site team member training and mentoring as appropriate
- Participate in Team Member Development Reviews as assigned
- Help maintain a safe and clean work environment
Other duties as assigned may include but are not limited to the following
- Sales and proposal writing
- Facilities maintenance
- Attendance at trade shows and conferences
- Mechanical Repairs
Work Environment
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. Use of and exposure to herbicides and use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Working hours can be long and unpredictable.
Physical Demands
Must be able to move objects up to 50 lbs. and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs. This position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
