ABA Therapist/RBT Roles and Responsibilities

If you are not yet an RBT we will train you! We are dedicated professionals to growing the field of ABA!! Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT)/ABA Therapists provide in-home services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or emotional and behavioral issues. RBTs are assigned a caseload of clients to be seen in their homes/ the community. We slot our therapist based on location and availability. Therapists are supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Supervision meets the requirements of the BACB and may be used towards BCBA or BCaBA certification. Most clients are seen before or after school, although there are opportunities for therapists to work during school hours (daytimes).

• The Registered Behavior Technician must possess an understanding of autism and how to treat the deficits and behaviors associated with the diagnosis and learn applied behavior analysis (ABA) standards and practice.
• Implement behavioral plans designed by BCBA/LBA in clients’ homes, schools and treatment centers
• Provide one on one in-home and community-based Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy
• Collect data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan and report progress
• Support BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plan
• Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families and supervisors
• Maintain clear lines of communication with families, supervisors and other applicable parties
• Any other tasks outlined by BCBA/LBA
• Maintain client confidentiality (HIPPA) at all times
• Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending trainings
• Timely documentation of services should be completed by end of day (on a daily basis) which services were rendered

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets as specified by supervisors based on the individual treatment plan and BIP
• Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
• Open written and verbal communication skills with supervisor, lead behavior technician, parents and authorized professionals involved with client
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and authorized 3rd party involvement with case
• Ability to adhere to Behavioral Therapy Solution’s organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and State Licensing Board
• Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standard
• Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols as written

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
