Aya Healthcare is seeking an experienced Revenue Integrity CDM Analyst for a fully remote opportunity supporting a leading healthcare organization. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position offering competitive pay and the opportunity to make a significant impact on revenue integrity, compliance, and charge master operations.
Position Summary
The Revenue Integrity CDM Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity, compliance, and accuracy of both Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB) Charge Description Masters (CDM). This role partners with operational, clinical, IT, and revenue cycle teams to support charge capture processes, Epic charge review workqueues, pricing updates, regulatory compliance, and revenue preservation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB) Charge Description Masters, including charge additions, revisions, and deletions.
- Monitor, track, and resolve Epic charge review workqueues and billing exceptions.
- Coordinate with Information Systems teams to build, test, and implement charge code updates within Epic.
- Analyze pricing structures, fee schedules, CPT/HCPCS coding, and revenue code compatibility.
- Research Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer regulations to ensure billing compliance.
- Support revenue preservation initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce revenue leakage.
- Lead and participate in CDM-related projects, fee schedule updates, and pricing initiatives.
- Develop and maintain CDM policies, procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors on pricing and reimbursement strategies.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associate Degree or Higher
- Minimum 5 years of direct CDM maintenance experience
- Minimum 7 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience
OR
High School Diploma / GED
- Minimum 8 years of direct CDM maintenance experience
- Minimum 10 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience
Required Qualifications
- Epic CDM experience
- Epic Hospital Billing Certification
- Current AHIMA or AAPC Certification
- Advanced knowledge of:
- CPT and HCPCS coding systems
- UB-04 Revenue Codes
- Medical Terminology
- Billing and reimbursement methodologies
- Coding modifiers
- Working knowledge of CMS regulations, payer guidelines, and revenue cycle compliance standards
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
