Brand Manager Apprentice Role – Patencio Development
THE OPPORTUNITY
What if your job involved the brands, characters, and properties you grew up loving, and you actually got to help build their businesses around the world? At Patencio Development, that's exactly what we do. We work with some of the most exciting brands in pop culture, and collectibles, and lifestyle products, helping companies around the world with licensing, distribution, marketing, and navigating the cultural and business nuances of a truly global industry.
I started where you are. When I was finishing my business degree, I wasn't sure what direction to take. Then I interned with Patencio Development at Anime Expo and San Diego Comic-Con and it clicked. The idea of combining a genuine passion for pop culture with real business challenges was unlike any job opportunity I thought was possible. A six-week internship has turned into three years, and since then I’ve (multiple times) been to Japan, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, and beyond — solving problems, building relationships, attending conventions, and creating clarity out of complexity in real time. I’ve recently been asked to go to Europe this fall to meet a new partner in Luxembourg and attend the Lucca fan convention in Italy.
Now the business is growing faster than we personally can manage with our current team and we're looking for someone to grow with us.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Where this leads
NOW

THE GOAL
Brand Manager - Full-time. Deep expertise. Managing the brands by yourself as a recognized voice in the global collectibles industry.
Responsibility and hours will scale as you demonstrate your strengths and leadership.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
This isn't a role for someone who needs a detailed playbook. You'll be working remotely in an unstructured environment where resourcefulness matters as much as any specific skill. Here’s what tends to set great candidates apart:
Genuinely curious about how pop culture and business intersect
Comfortable working autonomously
Clever and adaptable
Eager to learn
Speak a second language
Excited by the unknown
Creative and innovative, but disciplined
Flexible with partners from other cultures and business practices
A background or degree in business
What matters most is that you're someone who sees this industry and thinks: I want to be in the middle of this.
This is a part-time remote position starting at approximately 15–20 hours per week, with a clear path to full-time as the role grows. If this sounds like the opportunity you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
