Key Responsibilities (tasks that you do to achieve the accountabilities):
- Ensures company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded.
- Performs First Article Inspections and prepares First Article Reports per customer requirements.
- CMM experience with Creaform Scanner & FARO Arm inspection equipment using Polyworks measuring software.
- Experience with hand tools and measurement equipment, included but not limited to caliper, micrometer, surface plate, height gauges, force gauges and pull testers required.
- Reads and interprets drawings with GD&T dimensioning and Acceptance criteria specifications.
- Perform statistical studies as needed (Cpk/Gage R & R), Statistical Process Control (SPC) inspections and prepare reports, charts, etc.
- Assists as needed with document preparation for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions.
- Maintains inspection records according to company & customer standards.
- Assists Quality Engineers and Inspectors in developing or modifying inspection procedures as needed.
- Assists Engineering with inspection fixture designs.
- Communicates effectively amongst a cross-functional team of Inspectors, Operators, Engineers, and Technicians
- Helps train Quality Auditors how to read drawings and proper use of inspection equipment.
- Multi-tasks effectively and performs other essential tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
- Forklift certification (or ability to receive company training)
- Perform all other duties assigned.
Qualities for Success:
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Plastic injection molding experience a plus.
- Blueprint reading including an understanding GD&T is required.
- Experience with Vision systems- Smart Scope with MeasureX software a plus.
- Experience conducting Melt Flow Analysis (or ability to receive company training)
- Knowledge of quality management tools such as SPC, design of experiment (DOE), and root cause analysis
- Must have ability to mentor others, guide and support successful completion of complex assignments requiring independent action and the highest degree of initiative to resolve issues.
- Must have ability to serve as assistant to managers, analyze data, set up key operations, train, lead, and make recommendations for new procedures.
- SolidWorks experience a plus.
· Able to work overtime hours according to business need.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines for completion of projects.
· Problem solver: able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary; sense of accountability and sound professional judgement.

Physical & Mental Demands:
- Able to lift 55 lbs. up to shoulder height daily on an on-going basis without assistance.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. above head occasionally.
- Push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis
- Grip and hold parts and hand tools continuously (8 hours)
- Use miscellaneous hand tools including manual, pneumatic, and powered.
- Ability to work with small parts down to a bolt size of ¼” in diameter.
- Good hand and wrist dexterity
- Visually inspect all parts
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:
This position may be required to conduct business on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
