We need to expand our team and add an Administrative Assistant to support our Engineering group. This position will assist the Design Engineering group in processing and maintaining such things engineering change requests, technical drawings, and product data. Responsibilities:
- Processes all the approved ECO folders and related drawings & product submittals.
- Provides prints (electronic &/or paper) when requested by various departments
- Schedules the engr staff meetings & keeps the dept status reports up-to-date
- Misc projects for the engineering manager &/or design engineers
- Order office supplies when requested by design engr staff
- Coordinate travel arrangements for engr manager & design engineers
- Processes all the approved ECO folders and related drawings & product submittals.
- Obtains departmental approvals (checklists) for ECO’s waiting to be checked.
- Assigns engr numbers & processes new engr deviations, ECR’s, specials, etc.
- Manage travel arrangements and team calendars.
- Creates & maintains databases when needed, and inputs approved data into PLM system, SolidWorks, Syteline, AutoCAD, MS-Office, MS-Access and MS-Excel.
- Maintain copies of external product standards and monitors for periodic revisions.
- As new specification/sales drawings are compiled & released, creates PDF files for upload to the company website, production floor, etc.
- Distributes and files the engineering (ECO) releases, and maintains obsolete/archive files.
- Updates the PLM Item Masters with new &/or revised file pointers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience in similar role
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- No formal engineering degree required, but must be comfortable working with and understanding technical/engineering concepts
- Basic understanding of ISO procedures and guidelines a plus, but not required
- Strong interpersonal relations skills and ability to communicate through multiple channels such as phone, chat, and email
- Must be proficient with computers and MS Office suite at intermediate level or above
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken
- Excellent conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
