Aspire Therapy Center is looking to hire a pre- or post-doctoral fellow with a passion for assessment and an ongoing interest in providing psychotherapy services. Because testing schedules fluctuate seasonally, this position features a dynamic weekly footprint ranging from 20 to 30 hours per week. The fellow will maintain a consistent, structured core therapy caseload (typically 12 minimum, 18 preferred), with testing allocations scaling between 4 to 15 hours per week depending on active evaluation waves.

Those with the availability to work one or more evening or weekend days will be given preference, as will those with an interest and aptitude for working with children and teens.

Requirements:

• The position requires being in the last year of a doctoral program or possessing a Doctoral degree in Psychology, as well as strong writing, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of, or experience in, the administration and scoring of psychological tests, including intelligence measures (WAIS-5, WISC-V, etc.) and measures of specific cognitive abilities (WMS-IV, D-KEFS, etc.).
• Advanced comfort navigating digital testing administration suites (e.g., iPad-based tools like Q-interactive) and operating automated scoring software profiles.
• Hybrid framework: Candidate must be willing to provide in-office services at least 3 days per week. Therapy sessions, supervision, and clinical team meetings can be conducted virtually as scheduling permits, provided clinical coverage is maintained.

Preferred:

• We are seeking applicants with robust testing experience who have completed 15–20 comprehensive psychological reports that include, but are not limited to, the WAIS-5, WIAT-IV, WMS-IV, and D-KEFS.
• Ability to work in-person across our local Pasadena-area locations (South Pasadena & Sierra Madre).
• Occasional flexibility to support our Claremont location on an as-needed basis during peak seasonal assessment waves.

• Schedule & Leave Structure: Offers a reliable, structured clinical schedule. To protect patient care and testing deadlines, all time-off requests must be coordinated and approved well in advance to ensure absolute clinical continuity for therapy clients and scheduled evaluation blocks.
• Licensure Track: Provides legally compliant, high-fidelity Primary and Delegated Supervision hours by a Licensed Psychologist in strict accordance with the California Board of Psychology regulations.

Pay: $35.00 - $75.00 per hour
