In this role, you will support the daily technology needs of our dealership operations by maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems, phone systems, network infrastructure, surveillance equipment, access control systems, and related technology. You will work directly with the IT Director to ensure all systems operate efficiently and securely.
Qualifications:
● Must be able to follow procedure for handling sensitive and/or confidential documents
● Able to work closely with end users, and other IT staff
● Proficient in both creating and following documentation
● Must possess the ability to read manuals and troubleshoot minor issues independently.
● Must have flexibility to work non-standard days and times for occasional upgrades / projects that occur outside normal business hours
● Working experience with / proficiency in:
▪ Windows 10 & 11 administration
▪ Microsoft Active Directory administration
▪ Microsoft Office 365 administration
▪ Microsoft Word & Excel
▪ Chrome & Chromium variant browsers
▪ Firefox browser
▪ Google Workspace / G-Suite administration
▪ Adobe and other commonly used computer software
▪ General knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals
▪ General knowledge of computer network equipment, cabling, and configurations
▪ General knowledge of WiFi equipment and networking configurations
▪ Lexmark and HP printer configurations
▪ VoIP desk phone config and phone system administration
▪ General smart phone and tablet administration (Android and iOS)
● Additional working experience with any of the following is a plus:
▪ Advanced networking configurations (WAN, LAN, VPN)
▪ Advanced firewall configurations & network security policies
▪ General Windows Server admin & security practices
▪ Linux server admin & security practices
▪ Remote access software
▪ Reynolds and Reynolds ERAccess and Ignite DMS system
▪ Toyota Motor specific systems (Dealer Daily, TIS, GTS+, Ista)
▪ MacOS operating systems
▪ ChromeOS operating system
▪ Advanced smart phone and tablet MDM admin
▪ Video surveillance and security access systems
▪ Key management systems
▪ Disk imaging systems for mass deployment
▪ PC backup & recovery software
▪ OBD-II vehicle test equipment
Essential Duties, but not limited to:
● Configure and deploy PC workstations and related peripherals, printers, phones, and other office equipment
● Maintain / troubleshoot / repair / replace components on PC workstation computers such as motherboards, NIC's, video cards, hard drives, RAM modules
● Maintain / troubleshoot / repair / replace printer components such as toners, imaging units, rollers, trays, belts, waste bottles
● Maintain / troubleshoot / repair / replace network infrastructure equipment and components
● Maintain / troubleshoot / repair / replace VoIP phones and related accessories
● Maintain / troubleshoot / repair / replace other miscellaneous technology and office equipment
● Perform regular software / firmware updates to dealer management systems, phone systems, PC workstations and related peripherals, and other miscellaneous technology and office equipment
● Routinely monitor systems for potential issues, errors and security risks
● Contacts 3rd party support vendors to address issues when applicable
● Opens, updates, escalates and closes help desk tickets in a timely fashion.
● Create, maintain and remove user accounts and assign security profiles for employee access to internal or external systems
● Train new users to efficiently use hardware and software systems
● Assist users over the phone, in person, and via remote support sessions with various hardware and software issues
● Securely decommission, dismantle and dispose of EOL hardware
● Perform secure destruction of equipment containing sensitive data based on official protocol & procedures
● Deploy and enforce compliance policies. Observe, report, and correct potential compliance issues
Physical Requirements
● Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
● Prolonged periods of time standing up, lifting and relocating equipment weighing 50+ lbs
● Working with common hand tools like power drills, screw drivers, pliers, and wrenches
● Ability to assemble furniture and office apparatus like equipment racks, monitor stands and printer stands
● Flexibly to route / connect cables under desks, through walls, in ceilings, or in other confined areas
● Work both indoors and outdoors
● Occasionally required to work in heights / building roof environments by climbing ladders or operating powered lift equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
