About the Role
The Senior Writer is responsible for producing high-quality, long-form book content and coaching a small group of junior writers to meet Viident’s standards. This role carries direct responsibility for the integrity of manuscripts and the protection of Viident’s quality and brand standards.
The Senior Writer leads book projects from early drafts through revision, working from incomplete or high-level inputs and shaping them into cohesive, on-voice manuscripts. They are trusted to identify weaknesses in structure, narrative, or tone and resolve them independently before content advances through the editorial process.
This role requires sound judgment, strong editorial instincts, and the ability to deliver under pressure in a deadline-driven publishing environment.

Editorial Scope
The Senior Writer’s responsibility extends through manuscript drafting and revision rounds. Following editorial review, manuscripts may return to the Senior Writer for final revisions or approval prior to advancing.

This is a full-time, in-person role on a small, committed team. Occasional availability outside standard business hours may be required during critical production periods.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
