Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Construction Project Executive to lead and oversee large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role involves strategic planning, resource management, and ensuring project delivery aligns with quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. As a key driver of project success, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and utilize advanced construction management software to streamline processes. Your expertise will help deliver innovative solutions on time and within scope, fostering strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. The Indianapolis Project Executive serves as a senior construction leader within the Indianapolis division, providing leadership, direction, and accountability across the project management organization. This role is responsible for leading and developing the Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers who execute the division’s construction work.
While the title is Project Executive, the role carries a strong construction management leadership focus. This leader is not only expected to support major projects and key clients, but also to strengthen the overall execution of the Indianapolis construction team by coaching project personnel, improving consistency in how work is managed, reinforcing HFI’s culture and expectations, and helping connect estimating, preconstruction, and operations into one aligned construction delivery model.
This role works closely with the Indianapolis division leader / VP and acts as a force multiplier for the division by helping lead project execution, develop people, solve problems early, and create greater accountability across the construction organization. This allows the division leader to maintain greater focus on broader division leadership, strategic growth, business development, and overall market responsibilities.
