Position Summary

The AI Specialist Intern will support the development, implementation, and optimization of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation solutions to improve business processes, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. This role provides hands-on experience working with AI tools, data analysis, and process automation within a manufacturing environment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and deployment of AI-driven tools and applications to support business operations
• Analyze data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for automation or improvement
• Support the implementation of machine learning models and AI solutions under supervision
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Operations, Engineering, IT) to identify use cases for AI
• Help automate routine business processes and workflows
• Assist with data cleaning, preparation, and validation for AI and analytics projects
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of AI systems
• Document processes, workflows, and project outcomes
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies, tools, and best practices

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities):

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in:
• Computer Science
• Data Science
• Artificial Intelligence
• Engineering or a related field

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, or data analytics concepts
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret and work with data sets
• Knowledge of Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, automation platforms, or ML frameworks)
• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Basic understanding of APIs and integrations
• Interest in manufacturing or industrial environments

Work Environment

• Office and/or manufacturing setting
• May require occasional collaboration on-site with production teams
