We are an established Southern California plumbing contractor with more than 85 field employees specializing in residential and commercial new construction. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Plumbing Estimator to support our expanding portfolio of single-family, multifamily, and commercial construction projects throughout the region.

This role is responsible for plumbing estimating, quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, budgeting, and pre-construction coordination for new construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience in residential construction, production homebuilding, commercial construction, or plumbing project management and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Estimating Duties:

• Prepare detailed and accurate plumbing estimates for residential developments
• Perform quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications
• Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure complete bid coverage
• Utilize estimating software (including Bluebeam) to generate takeoffs and markups
• Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Identify value engineering opportunities to maintain competitive pricing
• Coordinate with builders and internal teams during the bid process
• Oversee job budgets, schedules, and cost controls
• Track project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and specifications
• Process change orders, RFIs, and submittals as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Plumbing Estimator, Plumbing Project Manager, Mechanical Estimator, Construction Estimator, Assistant Project Manager, Preconstruction Coordinator, Project Engineer, or Plumbing Foreman transitioning into estimating is highly desired.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction and plumbing systems
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and other estimating/project management software
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Experience working with production home builders
• Familiarity with California plumbing codes and regulations
• Background in high-volume residential construction environments

Compensation:

• $95,000–$120,000 per year DOE
