Job Summary
We are seeking dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Inventory Control Associates to join our logistics team at our facilities near the Bentleyville exit off of I-70 as our operations grow into our new warehouse!
This role is responsible for managing accurate inventory data input and supporting logistics and supply chain operations within our warehouse facilities.
This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others throughout the organization in a fast-paced environment where precision and proactive problem-solving drive success.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across various categories, using our warehouse management system, NetSuite.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure data integrity.
- Sending out cycle count reports as required, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually based on the item and the identified timing for counts to occur.
- Use critical thinking and take prompt action when physical inventory and inventory data are not aligned.
- Utilize inventory management systems to track materials handling and logistics.
- Ensure that materials are stowed following warehouse definitions and that material kickback quantities are returned and recorded accurately to maximize accuracy.
- Operate a forklift in a safe manner, maintaining PIT certification.
- Ensure item labeling is in place.
- Provide training to Warehouse Associates on their responsibilities to maintain NetSuite & inventory count accuracy.
- Visit/travel to other sites for inventory issues, verification or counting.
- Train and be prepared to back-up Warehouse Coordinator and/or Inventory Coordinator in their absence.
- Shipping and receiving activities, including housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Above average skill in the operation of a forklift, both stand-up and sit-down.
- Current PIT certification
- Proficiency in the use of inventory management systems, software, and hardware, preferably in NetSuite.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in materials handling or distribution center is advantageous.
- Minimum of three years of warehouse experience.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to both the warehouse setting and food manufacturing facility.
- Will require use of computer and other handheld devices to ensure inventory accuracy and management
- Occasional visits to various areas of the manufacturing floor
- Must wear required PPE & GMP required materials, such as smocks, hairnets, safety glasses, safety-toed shoes.
- Moving parts and machinery are present in our facilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting, standing, climbing or walking.
- Visual acuity to accurately read and confirm materials being selected for fulfillment or counted.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to perform functions of repetitive motion, grasping, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, balancing and climbing.
- Noise levels will vary, higher noise levels exist while in some production areas.
