As our integration and automation work continues to grow, we are looking for a technically strong engineer who can help bridge infrastructure, development, GIS, automation, and data workflows across multiple environments and projects.

Position Overview

F8 Tech is seeking an experienced Integration & Automation Engineer to support system integrations, GIS initiatives, workflow automation, web services, mobile application support, and data synchronization projects.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across both infrastructure and development-focused environments. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and building systems that work together efficiently.

Key ResponsibilitiesIntegration and Development

• Design, build, and support API integrations using REST, JSON, OAuth, and related technologies
• Integrate external systems, databases, applications, and data sources
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing integrations
• Support hardware and field-data integrations
• Develop automation and workflow improvements across multiple platforms

ArcGIS and GIS Integration

• Support ArcGIS integration projects and workflows
• Work with Esri ArcGIS environments, including ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise
• Integrate external systems and data into GIS environments
• Support mapping, reporting, mobile, and field-data collection workflows
• Assist with GIS application development and related automation

Development and Technical Support

• Provide analytical and coding support for:
• Web service development
• Mobile applications
• Python scripting
• GIS application development
• Data synchronization workflows
• Perform quality assurance and debugging of geospatial data, scripts, services, and integrations to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability

Automation and Workflow Optimization

• Develop scripts and automations, with PowerShell experience preferred
• Streamline workflows and reduce manual processes
• Improve operational efficiency through automation and systems integration
• Support documentation, data synchronization, and reporting initiatives

Required Skills

• Experience with API integrations and authentication methods
• Experience working with ArcGIS or other GIS environments
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to design and implement automation workflows
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with internal teams and clients

Preferred Experience

• Managed IT Services Provider, consulting, or multi-client environment experience
• Familiarity with ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise RMM, ImmyBot, or Liongard
• Exposure to scripting and development languages including Python, JavaScript, JSON, SQL, and XML
• Familiarity with enterprise database environments, including Oracle or SQL Server
• Understanding of database versioning concepts
• Experience with Git and GitHub for collaboration, code review, and release management
• Experience with components of the Esri ecosystem, including:
• ArcGIS Online
• ArcGIS Enterprise
• ArcGIS Notebooks
• ArcGIS Velocity
• Portal
• Image Server
• Experience integrating hardware, GPS, IoT, sensors, or field-data systems
• GIS-related workflows, reporting, and data synchronization experience

Location and Work Environment

This position may be based in either Gatesville, TX or Austin, TX. Office space is available in both locations depending on where the candidate is hired.

The candidate should expect to travel between Austin and Gatesville as needed, typically a couple of times per week, depending on project needs, client meetings, and collaboration requirements.
