Job Summary

Original Engineering is a design and innovation company that designs and builds products across software, hardware, and manufacturing. We are seeking creative and entrepreneurial engineering, design, and marketing students interested in new ideas and innovation. Interns will work closely with OE leadership designing, developing, and marketing new products across the OE portfolio.

Eligibility

Open to applicants 18 or older who are authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate interest in at least one of the following project areas by providing evidence of prior work such as source code, technical documents, prototypes, videos, or comparable artifacts:

• Artificial Intelligence — human-AI interaction and productivity, LLM customizations
• CAD/CAM & Prototyping — design-to-manufacture workflows, 3D printing, G-code post-processing
• Audio Reproduction & Sound Perception — audio quality measurement, streaming media, signal analysis, audio perception
• Education & Play — teaching and learning aids, physical play
• Application Programming — native macOS, Windows, Android, and web applications
• Video Content & Social Media — short-form video creation, content and social media strategy

Terms

• Remote, with in-person collaboration preferred for candidates in the SF Bay Area
• $25/hour, paid as a stipend based on agreed weekly hours
• Start date, term length, and weekly hours negotiated per candidate
• Academic credit available for interns whose institutions offer credit for internship work
