MTFI Consulting LLC is a community-focused organization dedicated to education, community building, workforce development, and professional training. We are expanding our CPR and Emergency Response Training Program and seeking 3-5 certified CPR/AED/First Aid Instructors to help deliver high-quality, life-saving instruction across schools, businesses, and community organizations throughout the state.
Job Summary
New instructors welcome! We are seeking 3-5 passionate, certified, and reliable CPR/AED/First Aid Instructors to teach BLS/CPR/AED/First Aid skills and more to individuals and groups. As an instructor, you will create an engaging, supportive, and hands-on learning environment that empowers participants to respond confidently and effectively in real-life emergencies.
This position is ideal for educators, healthcare professionals, and safety advocates who enjoy helping others learn critical life-saving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct BLS, CPR, AED, and First Aid certification courses for youth and adults following American Red Cross standards.
- Demonstrate and evaluate participant performance through hands-on practice and/or written assessments.
- Maintain accurate training records, participant attendance, and certification documentation.
- Submit rosters, class documentation, and other forms and documentation within the required time frames
- Strong knowledge of CPR and AED techniques and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare and deliver effective training sessions.
- Attention to detail and the ability to provide constructive feedback to students.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure proficiency in CPR and AED use.
- Ensure training materials are up-to-date and comply with relevant regulations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Provide clear feedback and guidance to enhance student performance.
- Stay current on the latest CPR/AED/First Aid techniques and best practices, and all instructor requirements.
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom environment that encourages participation and learning.
Qualifications
- Current American Red Cross Instructor-Level Certification in BLS, CPR, AED, and First Aid (Preferred)
- Current American Red Cross Instructor-Level Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid (Required).
- AHA, ASHI, & HSI Certified instructors are welcome to apply. **You will need to bridge over to American Red Cross.
- Proven teaching or training experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and classroom management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage participants of all backgrounds.
- Must own and maintain your own training equipment, including manikins, AED trainers, and necessary supplies.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to class sites as needed.
- Ability to work independently, with integrity and to present yourself professionally.
- **Clean background check required.**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods while instructing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of training equipment.
- Ability to demonstrate CPR and AED techniques effectively and repeatedly.
Equipment Requirements:
- 6 Adult manikins
- 6 Infant manikins
- 6 AED Trainers
- 4 Adult BVMs (BLS Instructors)
- 4 Infant BVMs (BLS instructors)
- **Other required miscellaneous instructor supplies as outlined in American Red Cross guidelines**
Working Conditions
- Classes may be held onsite at business locations such as schools, community centers, hospitals, and other community and business locations.
- Classes may be taught: Weekday, weekend, evening, late evening, or early morning
- Position is an independent contractor (1099) – work as often as your availability and class demand allow.
Work Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry training equipment, up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to demonstrate proper CPR and AED techniques.
