ELS Medical Billing Group, LLC is a certified SBA Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and HUBZone-certified healthcare services company specializing in provider enrollment, credentialing, medical billing, medical coding, revenue cycle management, and EMS billing services nationwide.

We are currently expanding our healthcare staffing network and seeking experienced Provider Enrollment & Credentialing Specialists for current and future client assignments. This is a remote independent contractor (1099) position offering flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with healthcare providers across multiple specialties.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance enrollment applications.
• Manage provider enrollment through PECOS, CAQH, NPPES, state Medicaid portals, and payer-specific systems.
• Coordinate initial credentialing and recredentialing activities.
• Track application status and follow up with payers to ensure timely processing.
• Maintain accurate provider records and credentialing files.
• Assist with provider demographic updates, revalidations, and payer maintenance requests.
• Verify licensure, certifications, malpractice insurance, and other credentialing requirements.
• Communicate effectively with providers, healthcare organizations, and insurance representatives.
• Ensure compliance with payer regulations and credentialing standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of provider enrollment and/or credentialing experience preferred.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer enrollment processes.
• Working knowledge of PECOS, CAQH, NPPES, and payer credentialing portals.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience with healthcare provider enrollment for physicians, nurse practitioners, behavioral health providers, or multi-specialty practices preferred.

• Provider Enrollment Specialist (PES)
• Provider Credentialing Specialist (PCS)
• Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
• Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)
• Other healthcare credentialing or enrollment certifications
