Petits Poussins is a growing network of French-English bilingual daycares and preschools serving children from infancy through preschool. We are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education through language immersion, play-based learning, and a nurturing multicultural environment.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Education Director to oversee educational quality, curriculum implementation, teacher development, and compliance across our New York City locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide educational leadership and support across multiple school locations.
• Ensure consistent implementation of curriculum and high-quality classroom practices.
• Coach, mentor, and develop teachers, Educational Directors, and School Directors.
• Conduct classroom observations and quality assurance reviews.
• Lead professional development and instructional improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with New York State Early Learning Standards and applicable DOH/DOE regulations.
• Support schools during inspections, audits, and licensing visits.
• Collaborate with leadership on program growth and educational excellence.
• Travel regularly between school locations throughout NYC.
• Provide Educational Director coverage when needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• NYS Early Childhood (Birth-Grade 2) or Elementary (K-6) Certification
• Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in early childhood education
• Experience as a School Director, Education Director, Principal, or similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of child development and New York State Early Learning Standards
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred:

• French language proficiency
• Experience in bilingual or multicultural educational settings
• Familiarity with DOH regulations and NAEYC standards
