Overview
We are seeking an experienced ETL – Informatica Teradata Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL processes, data ingestion, and database technologies, with hands-on expertise in Informatica and Teradata. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support enterprise data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica.
Perform data ingestion from multiple sources into enterprise data platforms.
Work with Teradata to develop, optimize, and manage database objects and queries.
Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts to support ETL processes.
Write and optimize queries in SQL (Teradata / SQL Server).
Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across ETL pipelines.
Analyze and troubleshoot data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Support deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of ETL jobs in production environments.
Contribute to documentation of ETL processes and data workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
4+ years of overall experience in data engineering or ETL development.
Strong hands-on experience with:
ETL development and data ingestion
Informatica PowerCenter (or equivalent)
Teradata database
Unix / Linux environments
SQL (including SQL Server)
Good understanding of the overall ETL landscape, including data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with performance tuning in Informatica and Teradata.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts such as star schema, dimensional modeling.
Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys).
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.88/hour - $54.50/hour.
