Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Automation Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for a recent graduate with a 2-year Associate of Applied Science degree in Automation and Engineering Technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in automation systems, troubleshooting, and PLC programming, with a particular focus on Allen-Bradley-Rockwell Controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, calibration, and maintenance of automated machinery and control systems
• Program, test, and modify Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs to optimize system performance.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
• Support the design and implementation of control systems for manufacturing and industrial processes.
• Work closely with senior engineers and technicians to diagnose and resolve system issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
• Document maintenance activities and system modifications.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and industrial maintenance principles
• Electrical experience including working with sensors, relays, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and high/low voltage systems
• Familiarity with E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) concepts and schematics reading
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical automation issues.

Hands-on experience with industrial

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of robotic systems and motion controls.

Physical requirements and working conditions:
Regularly stands and frequently walks; uses hands to handle or feel objects; reaches; and communicates by talking or hearing. Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.

• Must consistently lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to electrical shock risk.
• Work environment is usually loud.
• Must work in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
