Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate has already worked in a cyber security software product team, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is fully experienced with AI being a part of accelerating every company function. You will be a key contributor to the future of building a winning cybersecurity solution. You already understand that developing an agentic cyber security defense that can operate autonomously is the only way to keep up with the bad actor innovation velocity that now has entered into the AI era. Phase 1: Migrate our dev instance into becoming a production grade AWS architecture setup

Phase 2: Establish reliability and security foundations for our agentic platform

Phase 3: Setup of CI/CD code pipeline(s)

Phase 4: Operation, Compliance and productivity enablement via AI agent creation(s)

Design, deliver and operate AWS based Agentic AI cyber solutions

• Co-design, configure, deploy, operate and secure our agentic AI cybersecurity orchestration platform

• Support and secure API data connectors and data acquisition services as needed

• Secure, maintain and support our legacy cyber risk SaaS platform during a period of migrating existing functions, data, logic and analytics

• Collaborate with / support our development team to deliver market leading cyber security innovation

Security, Scalability & Reliability

• Design, deliver and operate a scalable, highly resilient, SOC 2 + HIPAA compliant, 24/7/365 AWS environment for our business cyber security service

• Full infrastructure stack ownership of security, scalability and reliability (IaC, RDS, API, Middle layer, CI/CD code pipeline, Dev, Test, Prod environments, client tenants, SLMs/LLMs, NVIDIA hardware etc.)

• Operations and Security reporting to the CTO / CISO

Operational Efficiency & Discipline

• Proactive mindset, understanding our business success only happens through delighted clients

• Strong communicator — clear, direct, and credible with leadership

• Design and lead a proactive HBoM, SBoM and vulnerability management program

• Maintain accurate and well documented architecture designs, data flow and technical documentation, policy / control / SOP records for SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance and audit purposes

• Proven track record of creation and use of AI agents for a hybrid workforce design that boosts your / overall product team productivity

Qualifications

• Cloud & DevSecOps Mastery: 5+ years managing AWS cloud and production environments

• Hands-on experience with key AWS services (ML/SLM/LLM, neural networks, Aurora/RDS Postgres, KMS/Secrets Manager, AWS Bedrock, compute, networking, storage, serverless, containers etc.)

• Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines and design GitHub Actions based automations (or similar)

• Infrastructure as Code & Scripting: Proficiency in IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) to define and version infrastructure. Strong automation scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to glue workflows and extend agent capabilities

• Proven ability to set up monitoring and logging integrations programmatically

• Security & Reliability Focus: Deep knowledge of cloud security best practices (IAM policies, security groups, KMS, etc.) and experience implementing defense-in-depth in a cloud environment. Familiar with container security scanning, dependency vulnerability management, and compliance standards (SOC 2 and HIPAA). Experience designing and implementing fail over, backup, restore and disaster recovery processes

• Problem-Solving & Communication: Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues under pressure and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders if needed (e.g., explaining an outage to management). Comfortable working in an autonomous environment and taking initiative to improve reliability continuously

• Mindset: Passion for automation and efficiency – always looking for ways to eliminate toil (including effectively leveraging AI tools).

• A collaborative attitude, willing to be on-call for critical issues (with support from AI for first alerts), and a commitment to documentation and knowledge sharing to reduce single points of failure.

Preferred Experience

• Background in AWS cloud-based cybersecurity software product development team

• Cybersecurity vendor experience. You need to arrive with proven development team contribution experience towards cybersecurity software solution type(s).

• Cybersecurity knowledge. Arriving with experience-based understanding of cybersecurity software construction and operation is a must, especially the data veracity and data velocity related to security logs, monitoring, pattern detection, correlation, containment orchestration etc.

• Full understanding of cybersecurity data points, identity, network, cloud security, threat detection solutions (SIEM, EDR, MDR, XDR, ADR) etc.

• Growth-stage or early-stage company experience - where you didn’t inherit much, you built the motion that helped grow the company

Pay: $160,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
