Join our team at a well-established company as we launch our first U.S. subsidiary in Irvine, California. We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant / Office Administrator (Full-time / Non-exempt) with QuickBooks experience to support daily accounting, administrative, and cross-border coordination functions in a dynamic international business environment. Professional proficiency in English and Japanese is required due to regular communication and document coordination with headquarters in Japan.

Responsibilities:
Accounting tasks (50–60% of working hours)
· Perform core accounting functions including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset tracking, invoicing, expense monitoring, and support for accurate financial recordkeeping.
Office administration tasks (40–50% of working hours)
· Manage daily office operations and general administrative functions to maintain an organized, efficient, and professional work environment.
· Support HR-related processes such as onboarding, employee record maintenance, payroll preparation support, sales/customer support and coordination of internal documentation and compliance-related materials.
· Coordinate communication and administrative workflows between the U.S. office and headquarters in Japan, including translation support, follow-up on requests, and alignment of operational processes as needed.
Qualifications:
· Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire
· Professional proficiency in both English and Japanese is required due to regular communication and document coordination with headquarters in Japan
· An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
· 1–2 years of QuickBooks experience is required
· 1–2 years of ADP experience is preferred
· Ability to support accurate payroll processing using ADP is preferred
· Working knowledge of office management and HR administration is preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
