Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely account reconciliations, and compliance with financial standards. Duties

• Prepare, review, and process invoices using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Workday to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform account reconciliation tasks including balance sheet reconciliation, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to maintain precise financial records.
• Manage payroll-related functions utilizing systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, and Ceridian while ensuring compliance with payroll management standards.
• Conduct double-entry bookkeeping and journal entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements.
• Assist with governmental and non-profit accounting procedures, including tax experience and compliance documentation.
• Support general ledger accounting activities by analyzing accounts, preparing financial reports, and performing month-end closing procedures.
• Execute data entry tasks with high accuracy using 10 key typing skills to facilitate smooth financial operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams on budgeting, credit analysis, and financial data analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in corporate or governmental accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP standards.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; experience with Workday or UltiPro is a plus.
• Knowledge of payroll management systems including ADP or Paychex; experience with Kronos or Ceridian is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including account reconciliation, debits & credits, journal entries, and balance sheet management.
• Ability to perform detailed data entry and bookkeeping tasks accurately under tight deadlines.
• Experience working within public accounting or non-profit organizations is preferred.
• Excellent math skills combined with analytical thinking for account analysis and budget support.
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to SOX compliance standards and maintain high levels of data integrity in all financial processes.

Pay: $29.45 - $37.45 per hour
