The Hook

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Deliver the Vibe: Greet guests enthusiastically, guiding them through our complex, rotating craft beer list, scratch food menu, and our unique house craft cocktail selections.
• Craft & Crush: Handcraft artisanal cocktails using fresh ingredients, house syrups, and precise pours while pouring the perfect pint during high-volume indoor and outdoor shifts.
• Keep it Clean: Maintain a spotless, organized, and sanitary bar area at all times in compliance with local health standards.
• Control the Assets: Responsibly handle cash and credit card transactions via the POS system, execute accurate drawer count-downs, and manage bar tabs diligently.
• Stock & Prep: Set up assigned bars, manage daily inventory levels, prep fresh craft cocktail garnishes/juices, and flag inventory shortages to management before they become an issue.
• Stay Safe: Strictly verify customer identification to ensure legal drinking age and practice safe alcohol service to prevent over-intoxication.
• Be a Team Player: Collaborate closely with the kitchen, food runners, and floor servers to ensure a seamless, high-five-worthy dining experience for every guest.

What You Bring (Requirements & Skills)

• Proven Hustle: 1–2+ years of high-volume bartending experience (brewery, busy pub, or fast-paced restaurant experience preferred).
• Cocktail & Beer Smart it: Knowledge of mixology, classic cocktail foundations, modern craft cocktail builds, and a genuine eagerness to learn everything about our craft beer portfolio.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, move quickly, and stay active on your feet for 6–8+ hour shifts, including the ability to lift/move bar supplies and change out kegs.
• Positive Energy: An infectious, optimistic attitude and excellent communication skills—you can stay cool and professional while keeping things fun during a crazy rush.
• Reliability: Punctual, accountable, and flexible to work dynamic schedules including nights, weekends, and holiday rushes.
