Mater Academy Charter Middle/High School, an “A”-rated, college-preparatory charter school in Miami-Dade County, is seeking a Certified Middle and High School Robotics Teacher (Grades 6–12) to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position focuses on developing and delivering an engaging robotics and engineering curriculum that promotes innovation, problem-solving, coding skills, teamwork, and hands-on STEM learning for middle and high school students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Florida Department of Education Certification (Engineering & Technology Education, Computer Science, Science, Mathematics, or related field preferred)(Temporary, Professional, or Statement of Eligibility accepted)
- Experience teaching robotics, coding, engineering, STEM, or related coursework preferred
- Experience coaching robotics teams or competitive STEM programs is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, project-based robotics instruction for grades 6–12
- Teach foundational and advanced concepts in robotics, coding, engineering design, and automation
- Guide students in hands-on building, programming, and troubleshooting robotics systems
- Prepare and coach students for robotics competitions and STEM showcases (if applicable)
- Develop curriculum aligned with state standards and STEM best practices
- Foster collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking skills
- Maintain a structured, safe, and student-centered learning environment
- Communicate consistently with parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Collaborate with the STEM Department and participate in school-wide initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with emerging technologies
