Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator / Project Manager to lead commercial projects from pre-construction to close-out. You will be responsible for analyzing blueprints, generating accurate project bids, managing budgets, and coordinating with field teams to ensure our plumbing installations are completed profitably, safely, and on schedule. Key Responsibilities

Estimating & Bidding:

• Take-Offs & Pricing: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to perform accurate material take-offs and labor estimates.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate quotes from specialty subcontractors.
• Vendor Coordination: Work with purchasing agent to evaluate vendors and materials to ensure competitive bid pricing.
• Proposal Development: Prepare detailed proposals, bid submissions, and scopes of work while meeting strict bid deadlines.
• Value Engineering: Identify potential scope gaps, conflicts, and cost-saving opportunities during the design and bidding phases.

Project Management:

• Project Execution: Manage the lifecycle of awarded plumbing projects from kickoff through final close-out, ensuring compliance with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
• Budget & Cost Control: Track project finances, process progress billings, and manage change orders to ensure profitability.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Develop construction schedules and coordinate with field superintendents, general contractors, and internal crews to allocate labor and materials.
• Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers, providing regular progress updates.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in commercial plumbing estimating and project management.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and isometric drawings.
• Construction Codes: Thorough understanding of current local construction building codes as well as SSPC
• Software Proficiency: · Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Bluebeam· Estimating software platforms
• Licensing: [Optional: Valid Journeyman or Master Plumbing License].
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for negotiating contracts and interacting with clients and field technicians.
• Physical Requirements
• Must be able to occasionally visit active construction job sites, maneuver around rough terrain, and climb ladders.
• Ability to view detailed plans, blueprints, and computer monitors for extended periods.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
