THE OPPORTUNITY – INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Due to our aggressive growth strategies, we are expanding our professional sales staff and are looking for a key individual to join our growing sales team. The ideal Inside Sales Representative candidate will have experience in the K-12 Education market and have a working knowledge of the Reseller/Distribution Channel in their territory. They will be solution-oriented and activity-driven. They will possess a drive to make a difference for their clients.
In addition, we will consider candidates with sales experience in Inside Sales, New Business Development, or Sales Development for technology companies.
This is a B2B sales model that requires a talented individual who loves working with clients and partners in the K-12 education sector, is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in supporting a field-based sales team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote our product solutions and professional services to K-12, higher education, and enterprise business markets via phone, email, and video meetings.
- Collaborate with Field-based Regional Account Managers to create and execute a comprehensive territory development plan to grow JAR Systems’ market share in your region.
- Run Tier 2 and 3 opportunities from prospecting to close.
- Build and grow strong relationships with key technology resellers and channel partners in your territory.
- Provide daily account management services to installed customers.
- Become an insider within the student device charging industry and become an expert on all JAR Systems’ product features, as well as the top competitors you will sell against.
- Aggressively pursue new business opportunities in targeted accounts in your region.
- Respond to customer requests for service or quotes in a timely manner.
- Regularly meet and exceed sales activity targets and quarterly sales goals.
- Deliver presentations of JAR Systems product solutions and professional services.
- Responsible for keeping the opportunity pipeline current and accurate inside our CRM application.
- Utilize CRM tools to maintain top of mind with prospects and potential opportunities.
- Provide reports on activities, forecasts, and other business-related information to sales management.
- Participate in quarterly territory reviews and planning sessions.
- Support the Field-based, Regional Account Managers with current information on inventory, pricing, and deployment projects.
REQUIREMENTS
Sales experience in the education vertical, especially in K-12, with experience working with distributors and resellers.
- 1+years cold calling into greenfield accounts particularly in K-12 or technology hardware market.
- Proven experience setting appointments and speaking to C-level Executives as well as technical teams such as engineers, developers, and administrators.
- Track record of exceeding expectations and goals.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to learn new business and technical concepts.
- Competitive attitude with positive teamwork to be able to collaborate with peers.
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven consultative selling skills.
- Desire to be part of a growing team and looking for short and long-term success.
- Possess strong computer skills, including MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), video meeting technology, and CRM skills such as HubSpot.
- Ability to take good notes and keep customer interactions well-documented in HubSpot CRM.
- Must have a professional attitude and appearance.
- Must have an excellent history of customer service experience.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and propose recommendations.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as Business or equivalent professional sales experience.
- Minimum 2+ years sales experience, preferably that required engagement with high-level decision makers in a consultative sales model.
