The Patient Relations Specialist require experience in customer or patient services, intake, medical records systems, computer or data entry skills, and excellent communication and people skills. The Patient Relations Specialist must be familiar with medical records, CommunityCare, Medicaid, and other third-party insurance carriers, and must have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of patient management software, collections, LINKS, KidMed, and patient flow is helpful.
The Patient Relations Specialist is responsible for patient registration, answering telephone calls, patient scheduling, follow up, verifying insurance eligibility, and assisting with patient billing and medical records, copying, filing, and printing reports.
Requirements * At least one (1) year experience or training from a program or school specializing in medical billing and data entry. General knowledge of accounting (bookkeeping) and understanding of how they relate to invoices.
