Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced DataStage ETL Developer for one of the enterprise companies, who is a global technology solution and services leader providing business-friendly solutions, that enable future readiness for clients, who are passionate about creating next-generation software that improves the lives of users. This person will have the opportunity to make significant product contributions at the earliest stages of development, while also building high-performing teams, and continuing to grow their own skillset.

JD:

• Hands-on knowledge and experience in developing IBM DataStage 11.x — parallel jobs, sequence jobs, server jobs.
• Must have migration experience from OnPrem to AWS.
• Good fundamental understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data orchestration techniques
• Should be familiar with Cloud implementation and understand BI, DW, ER Studio technologies, prefer cloud is Azure
• Strong SQL Server background — database design, performance tuning, strong Transact-SQL.
• Understanding of the BI, ETL, ELT, TEL, DWH processes, schemas, and models.
• Strong Linux and Unix skills.
• Experience with different data sources: Oracle DB, SQL Server DB, DB2 on Mainframe/LUW, FTP/SFTP, REST API, XML, JSON, Excel.
• Ability to review customer’s requirements and come up with practical suggestions for improvements.
• Ability to analyze and understand existing ETL processes and write ETL/ELT processes from scratch.
• Good communications skills.

What You Bring

• Nice to know AWS cloud knowledge.
• IBM DataStage certification preferred.

• 3+ years of experience as DataStage ETL developer or in a similar role.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
