Duties

• Provide technical support to end-users across various departments, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software problems on operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Assist with computer management tasks including installation, configuration, updates, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Support network administration activities such as configuring and maintaining LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewall settings, DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, and network security measures like Meraki devices.
• Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory, GPO (Group Policy Objects), and help desk tools like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Support the deployment of operating system images using tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and assist with troubleshooting network issues involving TCP/IP protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to document incidents using Jira or other ticketing systems, ensuring clear communication and follow-up on unresolved issues.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in IT support, computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and network administration.
• Basic understanding of operating systems including Windows (Windows Server), macOS, and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless networking (e.g., Meraki).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
• Ability to analyze problems quickly and develop effective solutions under supervision.
• Experience with help desk ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and basic computer hardware components.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies such as Active Directory management, network security tools, or operating system deployment techniques. Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
