About the Role
We're looking for a Sales Assistant to support our education partnerships team. This is a research-heavy, organization-heavy role for someone who loves digging into details, keeping a CRM spotless, and helping a small team move fast. You'll be the engine behind our outreach: identifying the right prospects, preparing the team for every conversation, and making sure no thread goes cold.
This is an ideal role for someone early in their sales or education partnerships career who wants exposure to the full sales cycle in mission-driven edtech.
What You'll Do
Sales Research
- Build targeted prospect lists across K–12 districts, higher education institutions, libraries, museums, and youth programs
- Research decision makers (superintendents, curriculum directors, STEM coordinators, faculty) and surface relevant context: recent initiatives, grant funding, strategic priorities, news mentions
- Prepare pre-call briefs that give the partnerships team everything they need to walk into a meeting informed
- Monitor education funding cycles, RFPs, and grant opportunities relevant to our offerings
- Track competitive landscape and flag noteworthy developments
HubSpot CRM Management
- Maintain data hygiene across contacts, companies, and deals
- Build and update lists, sequences, and workflows to support outbound and nurture campaigns
- Log activities, update deal stages, and ensure pipeline accuracy
- Pull reports on outreach performance, pipeline velocity, and conversion metrics
- Support revenue attribution tracking and property updates as campaigns evolve
Outreach and Follow-Through
- Draft personalized outreach emails and follow-ups in line with Slooh's voice
- Schedule meetings, send recap notes, and manage the calendar of partner touchpoints
- Coordinate logistics for conferences, demos, and partner calls
- Help prepare proposals, decks, and partnership materials
What We're Looking For
- 1 to 3 years of experience in sales support, business development, account coordination, or a comparable role (internships and adjacent experience count)
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM (contacts, deals, sequences, lists, workflows, reporting).
- Strong research skills and natural curiosity. You enjoy figuring out who the right person is and why now is the right moment to reach them
- Excellent written communication. You can draft a tight, professional email that doesn't sound like a template
- Personable and confident on calls and video. You're comfortable representing Slooh to educators, administrators, and partners
- Highly organized and detail-oriented. Nothing falls through the cracks on your watch
- Interest in education, science, or both
- Self-directed. You can take a goal and figure out the steps
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with K–12 or higher education buying cycles
- Experience with sales engagement tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or research databases
- Background in education, edtech, museums, or science communication
- An interest in Astronomy
