Our client\'s team is advancing research toward superintelligence through innovations in data curation algorithms, perception systems, foundation models, spatial and temporal reasoning, and AI research infrastructure. Their mission is to drive breakthroughs in Artificial Intelligence by developing large-scale foundation datasets and models characterized by exceptional quality, diversity, and scalability.
They conduct research across multiple modalities, including Computer Vision (CV), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Generative AI, Foundation Models, and Embodied AI. Their work focuses on creating the next generation of AI systems capable of understanding and interacting with the world at unprecedented scale.
As an AI Engineer, you will be embedded within FAIR research teams and collaborate closely with Research Scientists, Engineers, and cross-functional partners to transform cutting-edge ideas into scalable implementations and production-ready research platforms. You will contribute directly to the development of novel algorithms, platform capabilities, and architectural innovations that support FAIR's long-term research initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
- Support researchers and engineering teams in implementing advanced AI research systems and technologies in cloud environments.
- Design, build, and optimize AI/ML infrastructure, research platforms, and model development workflows.
- Develop new algorithms, system capabilities, and architectural solutions supporting FAIR research initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Machine Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, and Generative AI domains.
- Execute engineering roadmaps and contribute to system design decisions.
- Build scalable tooling and infrastructure that improve research velocity and experimentation efficiency.
- Translate research concepts into production-quality implementations.
- Contribute to technical documentation, experimentation frameworks, and publication support activities.
Must Have Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in LLMs, foundation models, data research who can conduct independent implementation and engineering works.
- Experience working on developing Generative AI or AI or ML systems
- Two years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Deep Learning, Computer Vision, LLMs, Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence
- Experience developing computer vision algorithms or computer vision infrastructure in C/C++, Python or Rust
- Experience in deep learning and PyTorch
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, NLP, Computer Vision, Machine Learning or a related technical field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distributed systems algorithm development
- Industry experience working on projects such as: image/video generation
- MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning or related technical field
