Position: Senior Intersystems Cache Developer / Systems Project Engineer
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite / No Remote)

Rate: DOE (Depends on Experience)

Position Overview:

The Department is seeking an experienced Systems Project Engineer / Intersystems Cache Developer to provide technical development support for the statewide immunization registry (Florida SHOTS). This role will support system enhancements, maintenance, integration, modernization initiatives, and ongoing operational support of mission-critical public health applications.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years developing systems using Intersystem Cache
• 10+ years in Object and Relational database design
• 10+ years with Cache Web link, connecting a web server to a Cache Database
• 10+ years developing web-based applications
• 10+ years developing programs using Soundex Software and Search Software America (SSA) and in the customization of configurations of the SSA software to integrate with Department application needs
• 10+ years with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
• 10+ years with end user support, including Cache client application support
• 10+ years using HTML
• 10+ years with data exchange and web services using HL7
• 10+ years with Mumps coding
• 10+ years with JavaScript
• 10+ years using SQL

SERVICE TASKS:

• Develop code supporting the Florida SHOTS system per the schedule provided by Department Immunization Business Office in accordance with the standards and requirements provided in Requisite Pro
• Research and recommend technical solutions to issues affecting current performance and enhancements to the Florida SHOTS system as directed by the Department; recommendations shall be provided in formats relevant to the issue being communicated, including use of Requisite Pro, Clear Quest, and Clear Case
• Provide code related to enhancements or corrections to the Florida SHOTS system to testers via documents within Requisite Pro in collaboration with the Department’s Business Analyst and Project Manager
• Evaluate post-testing results provided by the testers with documentation within Requisite Pro as directed by the Department; review testing findings and report recommendations for all testing findings to Immunization Business Office via written communication within Requisite Pro
• Standardize collection and storage of the Department’s Division of Disease Control and Health Protection shared data, including profile, laboratory, and provider tables as assigned
• Collaborate with Department’s Division of Disease Control and Health Protection information technology teams; document design and develop plans using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, or other software to accomplish the Master Person Index project as assigned under Health Information Exchange (HIE)
• Meet daily with Department Florida SHOTS technical team to discuss issues related to development, testing, releases, and enhancements as directed by the Department
• Provide a weekly status report to the Department’s Contract Manager detailing all work completed in the reported period

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour
