Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations to support land development design projects.
• Design and draft using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project standards.
• Support the design of grading and utility plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to preparing conceptual site plans, grading and utility plans, etc.
• Assist in the design of traffic control systems, including traffic signals, roadway signage, and pavement markings.
• Conduct sewer capacity analyses and support the design of wastewater infrastructure.
• Assist in preparing civil engineering plans, land development details, specifications, and bidding documents.
• Review and coordinate survey data, geotechnical reports, and other technical information for design projects.
• Draft, edit, and finalize engineering reports, including Drainage Studies, Water Network Analyses, and SWPPP documentation.
• Prepare, manage, and route project-related correspondence, documentation, and records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants, to ensure cohesive project designs.
• Identify and resolve design challenges using critical thinking and engineering judgment.
• Participate in client meetings and internal design reviews to support technical discussions.
• Pursue professional development opportunities, including mentorship from licensed PEs and preparation for the PE exam.

Skills/Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field is required.
• Passed the FE Exam (or plans to pass the FE exam in the next 3 - 6 months).
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Previous Civil Engineering work experience (1-3+ years).
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
• Experience with Civil3D is required.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Comfort with a fast-paced, intense, rewarding, and fun work environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Interest in private and corporate land development and real estate is preferred.
• Interest and passion for commercial retail projects is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
