ABOUT THE ROLE

ASC Process Systems is seeking an energetic and driven Controls Sales Engineer to help customers around the world solve complex manufacturing challenges. In this role, you'll build customer relationships, learn our industry-leading CPC and CPCx control software, develop technical proposals, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for building and managing ASC’s relationships with key customers with the goal of enhancing long-term business prospects.
- Confidently represents and “sells” ASC as a company and CPC as the industry standard control software.
- Learns enhancements to CPC, including CPCx, with customers.
- Generates accurate and well explained quotations and pricing cost sheets
- Negotiates pricing, payment terms, and lead times as well as specification details.
- Generates precise compliance statements for technically complex specifications issued by customers. Compliance statements must be detailed to assure any exceptions taken by ASC are clearly explained to the customer.
- Responsible for updating OMS and Appward database with customer information and for keeping RFQ statuses up to date.
- Initiates management meetings, and prepares for management meetings to discuss open RFQs, strategic pricing plans, and profit-margin approvals.
- Participates in and contributes to company-wide sales events and meetings.
- Cold calls potential customers to offer products and services.
- Engages in ongoing education to increase CPC knowledge among customers. A high degree of CPC competency is expected.
- Provides great customer experiences using ASC’s CXS strategy.
- Provides quick responses to incoming email traffic and phone calls from customers.
- Works with control sales manager to develop plans to meet performance expectations and sales requirements.
- Plans sales trips and travels up to 20% to promote new sales activities.
- Attends ASC’s Trade shows.
- Performs other duties, as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field required. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
- Knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE) and HMI software is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information and make sound decisions.
- Ability to create professional presentations and technical documentation.
- Flexible and customer-focused, with the ability to respond to customer needs throughout the workday.
- A team player who embodies ASC’s values: safety, quality, efficiency, continuous learning, and collaboration.
- Travel is required. A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport are necessary.
