Full-time Junior Interior Designer
Join a dynamic, hard-working but fun-loving luxury residential design team, working on whole home, new construction and renovations, plus multi-room projects. This ace, detailed Junior Designer is left brain and right brain and ready to go to the next level on all elements of design.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Work closely with the Senior Designers, Principal and design team to support Maison’s design goals and process on all projects.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with the internal design team, external project partners, and clients. Comfortable being client or builder facing and showroom/trade facing.
Utilize AutoCAD to reflect design concepts into drawings for design presentations, whether for décor or remodel based projects.
Oversee the upkeep and organization of drawing files, project materials and specifications.
Consistently and accurately pick-up design revisions and red-lines by the Principal and Senior Designers.
SKILLS:
Excellent verbal and communications skills. Skilled in visual research, material sourcing and specification, and furniture and lighting sourcing. Good working knowledge of high-end residential vendors.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Photoshop, Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of Studio Designer a plus.
Solutions-based thinker with a consistently positive attitude, displayed both as an individual and within a collaborative team.
Excellent time-management skills, independent drive and the ability to work under pressure and deliver projects under tight deadlines. Ability to prioritize and evaluate multiple important tasks, and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
Ability to respond professionally to critical feedback and be proactive in seeking support and help when needed.
Reliable car and willing to travel. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and support design team during a hands-on installation environment. All while looking chic – always chic.
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design from an accredited school; Associate’s considered with substantial work experience.
2 - 3 years' professional working experience in high-end residential interior design a must.
Experience in an interior design business that requires a team to execute their common vision.
Proven ability in a high-paced environment that values consistency, efficiency and excellence.
