Designer Consultant / Sales Associate

For nearly 35 years, Inspired Closets Bellingham, formerly known as Custom Closets and Bedrooms, has been transforming and optimizing storage systems all over Northwest Washington from the Canadian border to Everett. Over the years one thing has remained constant, and that is the desire and need to maximize the space within clients’ homes. We are a locally owned and operated small business that is passionate about exceeding our customer’s expectations. We built our business on a foundation of exceptional product quality and customer service. We have a dedicated design and installation team experienced in superior sales and service. Our clients include both home owners and developers of multi-family residences.

We are currently expanding and looking for a design consultant to add to our team, to cover the southern part of our territory (Everett North).

Responsibilities and Desired Qualifications:

• Previous design and sales experience, including an ability to build a good rapport with clients.
• Able to build a client referral base by nurturing successful relationships with customers and strategic partners.
• Ability to visualize design solutions and how they will work within a limited space.
• Detail oriented and perform accurate and precise measurement in a residential/commercial environment.
• Maintain a professional presence and possess outstanding communication skills (verbal, written and text).
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Able to self-manage a flexible and varied schedule. Due to the nature of the position, your time will not be micromanaged but it will be your responsibility to communicate in a timely and effective manner with clients and co-workers.
• Proficient or familiar with CAD style software for designing, as well as CRM platform for client and project management.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current interior design trends, styles, and codes.
• Experienced or familiar with construction sites and safety protocols.

For this position:

• We will provide the computer, software and training necessary to be proficient with the data entry, designing, and ordering process.
• Compensation will be salary based during the initial training trial period – the duration of the period will be determined after review of your experience and prior training.
• Compensation will be 100% commission based after the training period sunsets.
