Title: Lead SCADA Developer
Location: Midland, TX, and Surrounding Areas
Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off
Pay: $135,000.00 – $150,000.00

Reports to: Directly to the Foreman for the area
Works Directly Alongside: All working personnel in his or her field.
Top Focus of this Position:
We are seeking an experienced Ignition SCADA Integrator to design, develop, and implement SCADA systems using the Ignition platform. This role requires a strong industrial automation background, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver reliable SCADA solutions.
Lead Scada Developer will have Knowledge and Ability to Perform the Following:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of valves, including control valves, pressure relief valves, and actuators.
- Design, configure, and deploy SCADA systems using the Ignition platform by Inductive Automation to meet operational and client requirements.
- Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, HMIs, SQL databases, and other industrial control systems to ensure seamless data flow and system performance.
- Develop and maintain scripts and applications within Ignition using Python, SQL, and other relevant scripting tools to enhance system functionality.
- Create intuitive, user-friendly HMI/SCADA visualizations for real-time monitoring and control of industrial processes.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve SCADA system issues related to performance, connectivity, data integrity, and system reliability.
- Perform system testing, validation, and commissioning to ensure proper operation under various operating conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define scope, timelines, and deliverables for successful project execution.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and user manuals.
- Provide training and technical support to end-users to ensure effective and safe system utilization.
- Ensure all SCADA implementations comply with industry standards, cybersecurity best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and industry regulations while performing job duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation or SCADA system integration.
- Hands-on experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation (Ignition Core Certification preferred).
- Experience integrating Kepware OPC servers and industrial communication systems.
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modbus) and industrial protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, and Ethernet/IP.
· Ignition Gold or Enterprise Certification.
· Experience with cloud-based SCADA solutions and IoT integration.
· Familiarity with other SCADA platforms (e.g., Wonderware, FactoryTalk, etc.) for hybrid system integration.
· Knowledge of industrial process control in sectors such as manufacturing, oil and gas, water treatment, or energy.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python scripting and SQL database management.
- Strong understanding of industrial networking, including TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of HMI design principles and data visualization best practices.
- Understanding of cybersecurity practices for industrial control systems.
Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
