Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sorter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently sorting and managing materials, waste, or recyclables in a manufacturing or sanitation environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to operate various heavy equipment. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting with potential for skill development in heavy equipment operation and sanitation procedures.

Duties

• Sort materials, recyclables, or waste according to company standards and safety guidelines
• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, garbage trucks, and sanitation vehicles as needed
• Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials or debris
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper sanitation practices are followed
• Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate machinery
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or malfunctions immediately
• Support team efforts in maintaining efficient workflow and adhering to environmental regulations

Skills

• Experience with loader operation, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, or garbage trucks is preferred
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes or sanitation standards is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Prior experience in cleaning or sanitation roles is advantageous but not required
• Commitment to safety protocols and environmental compliance
