The Role (Structure, Flexibility & Location)

This is a Project-Based, Hourly position designed for an adaptable engineer who loves solving different puzzles every week. You will own client-specific implementation "missions"—taking a client’s unstructured data mess and writing the python logic to ingest, parse, analyze, and route it securely.

Location Strategy: This is a hybrid role. While coding can be done remotely, candidates must be local and able to meet in-person near Brookfield, IL for regular whiteboard architecture alignment, pipeline debugging sessions, and product strategy meetings.

Pay: Competitive hourly rate, paid transparently on a project-by-project basis.

Volume: Flexible workload that scales based on our client onboarding pipeline; ideal for an ambitious developer looking for high-impact project work.

Key Responsibilities

Dynamic Pipeline Building: Build and maintain agile Python data pipelines (ETL) to ingest, clean, and transform unstructured client files (CSVs, Excel, PDFs, text logs).

AI & LLM Orchestration: Integrate LLM APIs and local model workflows (e.g., Ollama, AWS Bedrock) to execute intent routing, text extraction, and semantic categorization.

Analytics & Predictive Analytics: Implement lightweight statistical modeling, machine learning, forecasting, and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to help clients understand their historical data trends.

Agile Deployment: Write clean, modular code, utilize modern AI coding assistants effectively to speed up development, and confidently deploy code to our staging and production execution layers.

In-Person Collaboration: Bring your ideas to physical whiteboarding sessions in the Brookfield area to co-architect the "Got Simplified" automation routing engine.

Technical Requirements

Python Adaptability: Solid foundations in Python 3.10+ with an ability to pick up new frameworks over a weekend. Experience with Pandas, Pydantic, or similar data manipulation libraries is key.

Data & System Fluency: Basic understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), file storage protocols (SFTP/S3), and interacting with webhooks/REST APIs.

AI Integration: Familiarity with prompt engineering, LLM chaining, and structural JSON data extraction from generative AI models.

Leveraged Engineering: Comfort using modern AI coding assistants (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to rapidly draft, debug, and optimize code without sacrificing logic accuracy.
